Behind the Scenes: The Golden Hour Capsule
Run early, run late
— capture every moment.
That’s the idea behind our brand new running capsule: a small but mighty collection inspired by the best two hours of the day — the golden hour after sunrise and the golden hour before sunset.
This collection is more than just half tights and singlets. It’s a nod to the early alarms, the post-work leg stretchers and the casual athletes who know that losing a bit of sleep is always worth the energy gained.
Angry Pablo’s first real step into the world of running happened back in summer 2023, when we launched the Angry Pablo Run Club in our hometown, Brighton. It began as a way to bring people together, stay active and share a few laughs along the way — and has since grown into a full-blown community of social runners and pre-work coffee enthusiasts.
In fact, Rod, our photographer for this shoot, was one of the first ever members of Run Club. We've been mates ever since. So when it came to putting together our first running campaign, the idea of keeping things in the AP family was a no-brainer.
Rather than bringing in models, we asked two of our regulars — Duke and Laura — to take the lead. They’re not models by trade, but you wouldn’t know it. They completely smashed it.
And honestly, having them involved sums up everything we’re about: laid-back, inclusive and built around the very simple concept of good people doing cool stuff together.

We kept the shoot local — on the iconic Undercliff path just outside Brighton, a stretch of flat coastal road that’s become a mecca for runners in the area. The sea breeze, white chalk cliffs and golden hour light gave us everything we needed.
Once we’d wrapped, we did what we do best: headed over to Sea Lanes (home of our Run Club) for beers and pizza as the sun dipped. Classic AP.
Launching The Golden Hour Capsule is a big moment for Angry Pablo. It brings us closer to the vision we had when we started this whole thing — a brand that sits confidently in the middle ground between running, cycling and everyday life.
Because for us, it was never about just one sport. It’s about doing cool things, wearing nice clothes and not taking ourselves too seriously along the way.
We marked the launch of the capsule with a rooftop party at Projects in Brighton, supported by our good friends at Jubel. They came for the golden hour — they stayed for the community.
Here’s to the next one.
